This video will walk you through how to use the Yukon Charlie’s Ratchet Binding System, an easy to use feature we use on our Sherpa series snowshoes.
Hey snowshoers! Its Bill again form Yukon Charlie’s here, to show you what you need to know about our Quick Clik II ratcheting binding sytem.
Our ratcheting is designed to accommodate and quickly adjust to most any winter footwear.
There is a left and right shoe: the buckles always face to the outside.
We suggest for the first time you adjust the binding indoors prior to heading out this way you will familiarize yourself with how it all works.
Start by adjusting the back strap, which uses a belt buckle type closure, so that your heel hits the heel plate, and the ball of your foot is somewhat centered over the axle. Make sure you use the retainer clip to secure the back strap after adjusting.
Insert the ratchet strap into the ratchet buckle and simply pump the ratchet buckle up and down until the binding is secure on your foot. Repeat this procedure if you have a double ratchet system found on adult models.
To release or loosen the ratchets simply use your thumb and pointer finger and depress the release button and push towards toward’s the outside.
Remember you may need to micro adjust the fit while on the trail.
