There’s been no shortage of snow in the Northeast this year, and YC Trailblazer, Stephanie Whatton, has been out making the most of it. This past weekend, she was good enough to bring us along for a snowy adventure in the Adirondack Mountains!
Hi everyone! @StephWhatton here for a couple of days taking over the Yukon Charlies Instagram feed! Tune in to check out some winter snowshoeing adventures from the northeast!

@StephWhatton here! @AndyMossey and I woke up in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. After enjoying some freshly brewed coffee, we packed our bags, strapped on our snowshoes and headed out the door to hike an Adirondack peak.
[hr]
As we hit the trail, we were able to catch the early morning rays as the sun began to peak over the distant mountains.

After a few miles, the steepness of the trail became real. Lucky for us we were able to take full advantage of the integrated lifted heel that the Yukon Charlie’s Pro snowshoe offers.

After finishing the steepest part of our hike, a sense of joy overcame us. We were so excited to see a rustic Adirondack sign in the distance pointing us in the direction of the summit. We were nearly there!

We reached the summit and the views were spectacular. We shared a warm cup of tea and had some lunch before heading back down the mountain.

By the time we walked back to the trailhead where we began, the cloudy skies had turned to snow. We decided to finish our snowshoe adventure on heart lake. We wandered around on the freshly fallen blanket of snow covering the frozen water below. It was the perfect way to end the day. For more winter adventure check out my page @StephWhatton. Thanks for tuning in!
