Question
Kymric –
I know it says 100lbs., but has anyone used them for an older child, aged 10-12 that is under that weight? Concerned about shoe sizes…

Team Yukon Charlie’s –
Hey there…we’re checking on max shoe size for Jr. Shoes (we’ll comment here w/that info as soon as we can confirm), but are inclined to say that it might make sense for you to look at a smaller sized adult pair (like the Sherpa 8 x 21’s: https://yukoncharlies.com/product/sherpa-snowshoes-2015/), so they can use them for at least a couple more years as they continue to grow.

Melissa –
Hi! Are these good for toddlers? I have a 24 pound 2 year old with a shoe size of 6.
Thanks!

Question
Jana –
What age are these meant for? Looking for a pair for my 5 year old. Thanks.

Team Yukon Charlie’s –
Hi Jana…we don’t actually determine snowshoe size by age. Instead, it’s based on weight, which can vary greatly by age of course. For our Junior snowshoes, maximum weight of user and any gear they might be carrying (backpack, snacks, etc.) should be 100 lbs.
Hope this helps!
